Summary: It could happen at any time. A small prick-like feeling at first, a nightmare the next. Most of the time, this is because of mosquito bites or the result of not getting that tetanus shot, but in this case, it's insects...but far worse...

History: Casey was a young woman unknowingly being caught in a horrible affair set up by her so-called best friend. Then one day, while exploring the Costa Rican jungle, Casey is bitten by an arthropod in the water. At first, she just feels sick and unable to eat much solid stuff. Then, she starts getting aggressive. Then her skin starts to peel and turn almost chitinous. Then her whole living space becomes a web-filled hive. No doubt about it, Casey is turning into an insectoid beast.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After killing her toxic friend, Casey is ultimately done in by her toxic boyfriend, who impales her and repeatedly stamps her head into nothing. But he got stung several times by her, and soon became an egg sac that's cut loose, with thousands of small bugs coming out to infect the masses.

Powers/Abilities: The more time Casey mutates, the more powers she gains, such as web-making and a stinger that acts as both an injector of poison and an ovipositor for her eggs.

Weakness: Anything conventional. She is surprisingly fragile.

Scariness Factor: 4-Casey's final form brings to mind things like "The Beast Within", and we certainly don't want to be reminded of "The Beast Within", now do we? It doesn't help that her brood can persist without her, and the bug that started this in the first place remains at large.

Trivia: -Apparently, there were scenes in this film so putrid that audiences in select theaters walked out in disgust.

-This film's release also coincided with the director's wedding. Surprisingly, the bride didn't seem to mind, and threw her bouquet to the audience during the premiere.
